Window furnishing automation isn't anything new, its been around for awhile. But only the fortunate few who could afford the hefty price of such a luxury. Now with advances in technology and more mainstream use. The price has been pulled back down to earth and is finally available to the majority.

Norwest have come to an conclusion that there are two main ways people should be able to connect and control their smart window furnishings.

As you guessed, Smart phones and Smart homes.

Ahh yes, our dearest and more beloved accessory, the key that unlock all doors and keeps us in the never ending constant loop that is in the world that which we reside... Our Smart phones.

Norwest utilises apps that can adjust blind drops, schedule automatic opening and closing times for morning and night. We also incorporate features that enable you to remotely control your window furnishings away from home!

Fairly new to the market, Smart home devices such as Google Home and Amazon Alexa have become a must have piece of tech for your home. They can do just about anything. (Considering you have the smart tech to go with it) Control your lighting, boil the kettle, turn the TV on, set timers, ask how far away the moon is? Its endless.

We looked at this and said. Could you ask it to open and close your blinds and set scheduled times. Could you sit back and say "Hey Google, its movie time" and watch as it turns on the TV and closes the blinds.

Then we sat back and said, its not that it could, its that it should and now at Norwest every motor that leaves our warehouse it 100% Smart home certified.
